Join us for a VEX AIR Drone Robotics Introduction (10 week) workshop designed for participants to learn about drones, flight principles, programming, documentation and communication skills. This workshop is foundational and non - competitive. In this hands-on experience, you'll learn to:

Miscellaneous parts (controller, motors, propetters, batteries)
2025-26 Game Kit (upon release in 2025)
Expert, milestone-based, immersive coaching focused on:
Autonomous Flight: Program drones to operate entirely autonomously
Piloting: Pilot drones to fly through an obstacle course.
Communications: Document and showcase engineering and aeronautical concepts.
Teamwork: Work in teams to solve the exciting season challenge.
Practical Experience:
Team field trip to observe a season tournament
Friendly scrimmage tournaments
We will track student enthusiasm, creativity, commitment, and evaluate competition readiness throughout the workshop and recommend VEX tournament pathway to parents.
This workshop is perfect for middle schoolers eager to explore the exciting world of VEX Aerial Drone robotics. In a safe and supportive environment, you'll gain valuable skills and have a blast!
Workshop Details:
Dates: mid Aug - Nov. Scrimmages will be held in Dec.
Time: Friday, 4:00 - 6:00 pm (4:00 - 5:00 pm Instructional, 5:00 - 6:00 pm Practical. Recommended: weekly team practice of 2-4 hrs/ week)
