Fall 2026: Competitive LEGO Robotics (FLL) Challenge Workshop

Program Overview:

We invite your young robotics enthusiasts (Ages 9-14 yrs)  to join a 10-week FLL Challenge Immersion Workshop from mid-August to mid-November 2026! Participants learn robotics design engineering, strategy, problem-solving, innovation project, team building and presentation skills culminating in 2026-27 FLL Tournament participation. 

This immersive experience is carefully structured into 10 coach-led engaging modules and 10 practice sessions (~40hrs of commitment). Each module demands complete commitment from the child to support their teams success, attend all sessions, participate in team building skills, and contribute to the innovation project. This is only offered to lego enthusiasts who want to play at a competitive level and embrace the power of team to tackle the season challenges!

What to Expect:

• Coach-led workshop: 10 week, 2 hrs/week, cost also includes FLL kits, FLL registration and FLL qualifier tournament registration.

• Robot Building: Construct a SPIKE PRIME LEGO robot and attachments with Instructor led variety of building techniques.

• Programming Fun: Learn basic programming concepts to control your robot's movements and actions.

• Mission Mastery: Tackle season 2026-27 challenging missions on the LEGO table, using your robot to complete tasks and score points.

• Innovation Project: Get versed with Idea-Research-Solution concepts in Eco Conscious Technologies.

• Teamwork and Collaboration: Work together with fellow participants to brainstorm on not only robot & innovation ideas, but also team name, mascot ideas, T-shirt design and team spirit performance. The goal is to have fun and celebrate fall-downs and successes in a safe friendly setting.

• FLL Qualifier Tournaments: Put your robot's skills to the test in exciting scrimmages and qualifier tournaments.

• Practice session: Convenient 10 practice sessions for FLL Qualifier Tournament preparation, to be scheduled per team in October '26. 

Workshop Details:

• Dates: Sept 1st week - Nov end. FLL NorCal Qualifier Tournaments are held in the first three weeks of Nov 2026. Please ensure your availability during that time.

• Time (choose one weekly class option from below):

  • Monday,  4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

  • Tuesday,  4:00 pm - 6:00 pm 

  • Wednesday, 1:45 pm - 3:45 pm

  • Friday, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

  • Sunday, 8:30 am - 10:30 am
